Southern Horse Festival Open Horse Show – Nov. 6 & 7

Dear Members of the American Saddlebred Horse Association of the Carolinas,

We would like to cordially extend an invitation to all to come and be part of our open horse show, called the Southern Horse Festival Open Horse Show, on Saturday and Sunday, November 6 & 7, 2010 at the Senator Bob Martin Agricultural Center in Williamston, N.C.    The North Carolina Horse Council is the Voice of the Equine Community across the State. We work each and every day to protect and promote our equine industry.  We serve as your “watchdog” regarding laws, regulations and policies which impact our love and use of horses.  The council is funded by membership fees, sponsorships and a statewide feed referendum.  As stewards of your money we also work hard to put your money back into the industry. We do this through sponsorships of grants for educational purposes including 4-H, trail preservation and growth, health and research grants and other programs which benefit all of us.

We also sponsor one Open Horse Show per year, the Southern Horse Festival. This is why we are writing you today.  We would like to personally invite you and members of your club to participate in the show this year.  It will be held at the Bob Martin Center in Williamston on November 6-7, 2010.  We are attaching the class list for your review and hope that it provides a little something for everyone. The show is noted for its great prizes!

We need your help and participation to make this show a huge success. Please consider becoming a class sponsor for only $20. Or if you or the club sponsor two or more classes you are eligible to place a booth at the festival.  The dollars raised will be used to help support our work as we continue to strive to make North Carolina the best equine state in the nation. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the show manager, Sammy Jenkins at: 919-201-3606 or the NCHC office at 919-854-1990.  You may also find information on the show at our website, www.nchorsecouncil.com. We hope to see you there. Come join the Herd for a weekend of fun!

Sincerely,  Sue M. Gray, Executive Director
