Riders will have the opportunity to compete for the $500 Scholarship. Riders will meet at the horse show office directly after the last class Friday morning. Riders must be in their habits. Test will be handed out when all have arrived. Upon completion of the test, Riders will then be sent to interview/respond to 3 questions with the panel of judges.
The Interview/ Questions are: 1) Do you think Equitation has made you a better rider? If so, why? 2) As an Equitation Ambassador, you will be asked “what is Equitation?”… what will you tell them? 3) Some people are turned off with Equitation, what would you say to convince them to try it?
The CCEQ Chmp for 10 & u riders will be open to all 10 & under walk & Trot Equitation competitors at the show. When class is tied, The highest placed qualified CCEQ rider will win the trophy and title for CCEQ division. 10 & under CCEQ riders are encouraged to participate in the 2nd part of their competition by creating a poster for the slogan “Healthy Horse Healthy Me”. The poster winner will be awarded gift certificate from American Saddlebred Museum and recognized as Jr Ambassador for the Carolina Cup Equitation Challenge .
The Carolina Cup interviews and poster presentations will be held directly after the last class Friday morning. Participants will gather at the horse show office. Beverly Shiflet will give them directions for test and interviews.
